If I had a flower ...

Good morning, and Happy Monday. I hope you had a marvelous weekend, and your week is absolutely amazing! With Mother's Day coming up this weekend in the US, the Love to Create Challenge is all about Mom this week!

This weeks we are being Sponsored by ... Bugaboo & StampArt Designs by Kathryne

I have two projects I created using the adorable Katie from StampArt Design by Kathryne. My daughter, Katie, is going to give this to her Grandmother for Mother's Day. The sentiment that came with Katie is perfect, and is truly how my daughter feels about her Grandmother. My daughter Katie talks about her grandmother all the time, in her own special way. If this sentiment could come true then I would have a really beautiful garden.

I knew I would be creating a card using the Katie stamp, for Katie to give her Grandmother. While I was at Archiver's on Friday they had a Make 'n Take using Plaques. I knew when I saw it that I had to create a plaque to go with my card so I purchased the supplies I needed while there.

Here's a closer look at the plaque ...

This is the first time I've ever altered a plaque, or used Modge Podge. I can tell you it was an experience that I look forward to trying again.

and now the card ...

Both of the Katie stamps were colored with my Copic Markers. I would color the skin on the first image and then color the skin on the second image, the hair on the first image and then on the second image, etc. I did this for each section I colored to make sure I used the same colors/techniques while coloring. The images are not exactly identical, but they are close enough to almost be twins. :o)

Now, I have to confess. When we were given the chance to choose our image for this weeks Challenge I chose the Katie stamp from StampArt Design by Kathryne, because the image reminded me of my daughter Katie when she was a toddler!

I had so much FUN creating my project(s) for today's Challenge, and I hope my Mother-in-Law loves it as much as I do.

I hope my project inspires to play along with our "For Mom" Challenge this week. If it does, please make sure you share your projects with us over at the Love to Create Blog.

Until next time ... Enjoy!
